Telerx ( Subsidiary of Merck ) – Clinical Trial Screener

Telerex was using a FoxPro based screener program that they customized and adapted for each individual clinical trial. Besides two months of custom programming before each trial the FoxPro application could not be adapted to meet the changing needs as the trial. With 100 operators constantly accessing the trial screeners, FoxPro was pushed beyond its performance capabilities, and as a work around they broke the application into several copies that greatly complicated reporting. EUO designed and built a new web based Clinical Trial system that helped address the FoxPro shortcomings while providing a bigger scope of functionality. The biggest challenge was addressing two years of pent-up user community frustrations while building a dynamic screener management solution that far exceeded the FoxPro application within a limited budget and aggressive timeframe. The system was completed the same year and went live with its first clinical trial the next year.
